Last Night at the Brandenburger Tor

the lights were magnificent.
the mood was that strange mix of nostalgic thoughts and the happiness just to be there.
I don't think this was a "historic concert".
And what's more, U2 is not exactly what I would call my favourite band but, man, last night they where gorgeous.
I was there since the early afternoon shooting the soundcheck and I must admit that Bono-guy has some good charisma. Very friendly and not-afraid-to-be-touched-guy also. He signed autographs, talked to fans and was very professional with us, the crew, who was trying to decide for the camera positions.
about 10.000 people came to watch the concert. Bono made us sing all. and all together.
I was in bed with a bad flu and last night definitely shouldn't have worked out in cold - and in fact: I did not feel cold for a second!
See on youtube the first vids they put online. just to get a glimpse of the atmosphere, if you like to. like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYq86LMapK4

and then: where were YOU 20 years ago, when people from both Germanys danced, sing, cry, kissed, hug or simply screamed out loud on that fuckin' wall? where were you guys?
mod and me - we were there! yeah!

God, now I got to wake up my sister to translate. she'll kill me.

"i luci erano magnifici.

I WAS THERE TOO!
Chiamatemi pure nostalgico o rincoglionito.

doc, you're not the only one to think it that way. I honestly think it was the right thing to happen.
let's put it this way: THAT night was perfect. all the rest coming after was less than acceptable for the people who lived the change.
Every thing you wrote about democracy failing in every sense is right. but let's just not abbandone the good will to do better. not today that I am back to bed with my wife yelling at me because of blablabla!

Congratulazioni,

See a city as beautiful and fragrant with a beautiful landscape however the human being puts the power of money in the first place and forget all this beauty, the selfishness of man ignores all that and go to war, the worst of all is that not There an ideology in this war, not is one fight for human rights or freedom of expression, is a dirty war, worthless.
The Brazilians are demanding of their politicians to do their part to resolve this and other problems of the country, because
who receive high salaries and significant benefits to this.
